This mix media hand carved sculpture has a hard gypsum and clay shell. The piece is painted in vibrant colors that harmonize with the textured sculpture. The piece gives the appearance of stone yet is very lightweight.
About Karen Cade
At the tender age of twelve, Karen started here art career by selling portraits to her classmates. After receiving her art education, Karen moved to Colorado where her artwork has been accepted in many local and National Art Shows. Karen now lives in South Dakota and continues to sell her artwork online, and at art events throughout the western US. Karen is a self-published artist with over 30 limited edition prints. Karen enjoys working in several mediums, oil, pastel, charcoal, scratchboard, ink, mix media, sculpture and bas relief work. Living in the heart of the Black Hills of South Dakota.
